Dornie Lodges is a great place to base yourself for your visit, being very central to both the mainland coastal areas and to the Isle of Skye.
In Dornie itself you can just admire the scenery by the loch, choose between easy walking or some fairly arduous hikes, visit the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle, eat out at two excellent local pubs, visit a good local cafe, and just enjoy rural village life.
