Lochside Lodge - Sleeps 8
Lochside is a modern detached house with views over Loch Long and towards Loch Alsh and Skye. On the ground floor there is a roomy entrance hallway with loads of space to get into and out of outdoor gear, and plenty of cupboard, coat hanging, and boot storage space.Doors off the hallway lead to a large shower room, double bedroom with a full height window overlooking the loch, and to the living, dining and kitchen areas. The lounge and dining area is "L" shaped with large picture windows taking up the whole of one side to give great views out over the loch.The dining area has a large wooden table and very comfortable Italian dining chairs for relaxed holiday meals. Sliding doors lead off to the modern fitted kitchen. The lounge has a wood-burning stove, and a very high ceiling to give it a comfortable and spacious feel. There is a TV with 4 terrestrial channels and a DVD player, and also a CD player.
Off the far end of the lounge there is another double/twin bedroom and bathroom, plus washing machine and tumble drier and further cupboard space. The entire ground floor is floored in oak, and is heated by underfloor electric heating divided into a number of zones for ease of control. There are two separate first floor areas each accessed by individual staircases leading up from the lounge and dining room. One stairway leads to a double/twin bedroom, and the other staircase leads to a further double/twin bedroom and a multipurpose gallery area which overlooks the lounge.
All upstairs areas are fully carpeted, and have very large velux windows for loch views. The gallery has some casual seating and various indoor games. Heating is by wall-mounted electric radiators. Outside, there is a deck at the front which overlooks the loch, and at the back parking space for 2 cars.
Prices include bedlinen, towels, electricity, and fuel for the stove.
A child's cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Pets - we are happy to accommodate 1 well-trained pet per holiday party but would ask you to inform us that you'll be bringing your pet.
